Largest Roman Museum in Germany<\/h1>

The Limes Museum in Aalen \u2013 the largest Roman museum in Southern Germany \u2013 has received a new content-driven design. It was created by the Stuttgart-based scenographers ATELIER BR\u00dcCKNER, developed in close collaboration with the curators of the Archaeological Museum of the State of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. The opening on 24 May was celebrated with Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann. A week of events culminating in UNESCO.<\/p>

The exhibition brings to life the 164 kilometre-long section of the Limes located in today\u2019s Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. Visitors are offered two approaches: in the darkened setting created on the ground floor, visitors are submersed in the living environment of the Romans and Teutons along the Limes. Flooded with light, the upper storey is all about research into the former border and its significance today.
